Lilly turns 7!

I'm a few weeks late posting this!! I'm trying in one day to catch up on my blogging. Unfortunately the blogger site is down so these are happening from my cell phone!

Lilly chose not to have a party or presents this year and instead go to Disneyland for the day just like Cydney did in August! Except this time Daddy got to come too! We drove down to Chris' moms house Monday January 16th after Chris got off of work to drop Bella up. We left at 5am on the 17th (Lilly's bday) and drove straight down to the park! It didn't open until 10am and we got there about 10:30! We had an amazing day! There was NO ONE there and we were able to pretty much walk onto every ride, so we got a TON done! Lilly got to eat her bday lunch at the Blue Bayou which we haven't done in 4 years so that was fun! We went into the park for about 3 hours on Wednesday before we drove back, picked up Bella and drove home!! I didn't even take my camera on this trip so I hope you enjoy the cell phone pics I took!

Disneyland at Christmas

In lieu of a big Christmas this year we decided to take the kids to Disneyland to experience the Christmas magic!! It was beautiful of course and we had a wonderful time! This trip was filled with firsts! Bella was tall enough to ride the Matterhorn and Lilly was tall enough to ride California Screamin (the big roller coaster)! Bella was much more aware of everything this trip and pointed out every mickey shaped thing she saw! She absolutely loved meeting the characters this time! She got SO excited and would shake her hands up and down in anticipation! She wasn't even scared of Jack Skellington! We got to hang out with our friends Nic, Melissa and Melissa's little sister Julie and also Joe, Kayla and Jadyn on Thursday which was a lot of fun! It was simply magical watching the castle/tree lighting and of course the snow on main street! We had a wonderful trip and made many lasting memories!!

Cydney turns 9!!

I can't believe that 9 years ago my sweet little angel was born and came into our life and made me a mother! I cannot express to you how blessed I feel to have Cydney as my daughter. She is so unique and special. I would like to take credit for all her wonderful attributes but Cydney was genuinely born an amazing person. She is mature, sweet natured,  kind hearted, soft spoken, funny, smart and talented. I couldn't be more proud to watch her mature into the beautiful person that she is becoming!!

Cydney chose not to have a party and presents this year and go to Disneyland instead! Lilly has gotten to go twice for her bday and we have always shy'd away from taking Cydney (summer crowds and summer prices!) but it was what she Really wanted this year so we saved up the money and off we went for a girls trip! So Wednesday the older girls and I headed to So Ca. We stopped in Bakersfield to pick up my friend Jen, so we had a perfect foursome for rides and off we went to Disneyland for 2 fun filled days!! The girls were super excited to ride the new "Ariels Undersea Adventure" and the revamped "Star Tours-The adventure continues" as long as see the new parade and summer fireworks!  Cydney had a GREAT birthday and we had a lot of fun!

On our way home we also stoped in Bakersfield to visit Uncle Joe and Aunt Kayla and meet their new baby cousin Jadyn who was born on 8/3!

29th Birthday

I turned 29 on the 2nd of April. Not much to say about that except that I'm now in the countdown to 30. lol To celebrate my birthday, my friend Christy from Vancouver BC, flew down and met Missa and I in LA for a few day's of fun!

Melissa and I drove down late thursday night and arrived in Hollywood to meet up with Christy about 1:30a.m. We got a good nights sleep and spent the next day shopping in Hollywood with a stop in Beverly Hills at Sprinkles Cupcakes! It took us 2.5 hours to get to Anaheim from Hollywood after that! Got to love LA traffic! We had my birthay dinner at Joes Crab Shack where they humiliated me while singing Happy Birthday to me. :)

Sat, and Sunday we spend in Disneyland, My favorite place of course! We tried to do a lot of things that Christy wasn't able to do her first time at disneyland! We had a great time, made wonderful memories and hated saying goodbye come Monday!

My BIGGEST Birthday Present was that my favorite actor Mr. Kellan Lutz himself (Emmett Cullen in Twilight) tweeted me a happy birthday message!! Thanks to my bestie for asking him to!!

All in all it was a great way for me to turn 29 :)

Disneyland March 2011

We just got back from our annual spring trip to Disneyland! This was an exciting trip because it was Bella's first REAL time! We took her once when she was 6 months old, but obviously she doesn't remember that trip! We were really excited to share something we love so much with our baby girl for the first time!

I was a little worried going being outnumbered and all but it ended up being great. Bella did wonderful for being a 2 year old. She had patience in the lines, wasn't scared of anything and absolutely LOVED talking to the Princesses. We walked into the park our first day and she saw the castle and freaked out saying "Disney!!". That's my girl :) She was also very excited to go on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters and Toy Story Mania being that she is obsessed with toy story!

The big girls had a blast as well. Lilly still isn't tall enough for Indiana Jones and California screaming but she had good spirits about it and enjoyed the "thrilling" rides that she CAN ride such as Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Tower of Terror! Cydney enjoyed being big sister this trip and helping out as much as possible... And asking a MILLION questions!!

All in all it was a really fun trip and we can't wait to do it again of course!

World Of Color

Tuesday night we took the kiddo's to see World of Color at Disneyland. I cannot express to you how Absolutely AMAZING this show is. It is worth going alone! We were able to sit in the VERY front row so that Gabriella could be away from people, wear our Minnie Ponchos, get soaked and have an absoulutely wonderful time!!!

Visit to the Vegas and So CA!

Hmmm I think I LIKE the way that sounds... but maybe that is just me personally! ;)

Saturday afternoon I drove down to Loma Linda to visit the Paul, Kristi, PJ and Gabriella for the first time since her surgery, With all 3 girls in Tow!!!!

Sunday we had a good old sleepover for the girls, Complete with makeovers, a fashion show, wii and and Tent!

Monday we went to the Splash Pad! Bella wasn't much of fan, but what IS she a fan of these days! The older kids (and moms!) had a blast!

Tuesday we got up and headed to Anaheim! We got there about lunch time and Kristi went and picked up our picnic lunches for World of Color that night! We walked back over to dland park, sanitized a table and dug in. After that we went to see Minnie and the Princess'. I was SO excited for Bella to meet Minnie... as was she... Until she rounded that corner! She was super freaked!! Hmm... I guess we just wait to see when she is a little older! lol After that we checked into our hotel. Rested a bit, Caught the Street Party before eating dinner at Tomorrowland Terrace. One of my FAV places there :) While We ate the girls rocked out to their dance party! :) Then we headed over to CA and the girls shook their groove thang some more at the Glow Fest they have going on over there! Then it was time for WORLD OF COLOR!

Wednesday we slept in... Well everyone but Bella and I did. Then we had lunch at La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney. I also shopped for some things for Missa and Nic's wedding. :) Then we headed out to Beverly Hills. We got a little side tract ed on the way... We decided to go find Kellan Lutz' (Emmett in Twilight) house. We knew the street because he mentioned it on the Bonnie Hunt show. We found it and were taking a couple pictures when his head popped up from behind the front fence!! Ahh! We screamed a little and drove off. Too chicken to do anything else ;) lol.

From there we headed to Sprinkles Cupcakes and Crumb Bake shop in Beverly hills to have a "cupcake off". We got our competitors and got the kids some dinner and went to a local park to let them run off some steam. Hmm. Sprinkles vs Crumb. EQUAL! just DIFFERENT! There were things I Loved about BOTH. Sadly I left the rest of mine at Kristi's!! :(

All it all it was a wonderful time spend with awesome friends. When we left thursday evening... Lilly started BAWLING, "I'm going to miss them!" :) Little Besties are starting to "get it" more and more. Hopefully we can return soon... Love you so much Vega Family! Thank You for EVERYTHING!!

Whoa... Spring!? Already!?

Geeeeez!!! Is it Spring already!?!? Where is 2010 going? Cydney tracked off in March for the last time of year round school. Her school will be switching to traditional for the 2010/2011 school year so that will be an interesting transition as Lilly starts kindergarten. We have been super busy as usual! Here are some recent pics of the kids riding their bikes

We took advantage of Cydney being off track and headed down to So.CA to get one more use out of our annual passes at Disneyland before they expire on 4/1. Bella didn't get to make this journey with us as she is at a very "trying" age lol! Missa and Nic tagged along for a few days and little did she know but Nic (with a little help from the Crain clan) was able to pop the big question literally while riding Tower of Terror!! We are all SOO excited for them and can't wait for their big day probably in the fall of 2010! We also hit up Universal Studio's as something different and the girls really enjoyed that! Kristi and Gabriella were also able to meet up with us for a couple days as they are staying in Anaheim for a few days while their transport jet is down in case they get "the call". That was great to catch up even though it wasn't nearly enough time!! The girls (big and small!) had a great time catching up!!

Lilly turns 5!

On Sunday, Lilly turned 5 years old!! I just can't hardly believe that my sweet girl is 5. So much has happened in the past 5 years! She was our ray of light in such a dark time and has continued to be. She is so different from her sisters. We are never surprised by the things that come out of her mouth! A while ago Chris made up a statement based off of a Twitter page that we like to follow "Overheard at Disneyland" except he likes to say "Overheard at the Crain House" aka "Ohatch" because of all the little funny things that we overhear or catch Lilly saying! She consistently makes us laugh and brings a smile to our face. She is such a good little AND big sister. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Lilly decided that she didn't really want to have a party this year and there wasn't really anything that she "wanted" for her bday either... so we thought we would take the money we could have spent towards a big party and presents and do a quick girls trip to Disneyland. When given the choice, she chose the dland option! So I pricelined a hotel and off "Auntie Missa" and I went on our first ever girls trip with ALL the girls!! It was a little trying having a 1 year old in the POURING rain but we managed!! Bella is def glad to be home! She is very different than the other 2 and does NOT want to be confined to a stroller! She in Miss Independent and wanted to be down and walking! Which she didn't understand why she couldn't do that in the rain! lol
All in all we had fun and I think Lilly had alot of fun for her birthday trip. She got to have breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen for her Birthday and get a Rockstar Makeover at Studio 365 with Money she saved up in her piggy bank!
We had a stressful drive home, the storm they were expecting rolled in early and we got stuck in it... flooding, wind, pouring rain... it was CRAZY.. but thankfully we made it home safely! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

What's in a Song?

They say that "Music has the power to cause emotions to well up within us. These feelings are gripping - often irresistible - and seem to emerge from nowhere. These feelings colour our moods, affect our perceptions and generate a behavioural pattern. The indisputable fact about music is its power to evoke emotions. Is there anyone, for whom, music is completely emotional - neutral? Music has the ability to inevitably tap the still, mysterious deep well of our emotions."

I chose a song to put on my blog this evening. Its from the "Parade of Dreams" at Disneyland. Now those of you that really know me, know that I absolutely adore anything Disney... I'm a fanatic by some definitions! I know that not allot of people "get it" but my love for Disney started when I was a little girl. My grandma loved Disney and Disneyland and we used to always talk and share about it. We always watched our favorite Disney movies together. So long story short... my obsession as a little girl... has grown into an obsession as a BIG girl!

I chose this song because it has so many "emotions" for me when I hear it. It IS everything Disneyland to me. I've shared SO many wonderful memories with people there. With my Daddy, With my Hubby, With my Girlies, With "loved ones now departed" , With my "Wifey", With my Bestie, and with MANY other people that are special to me. To ME, Disneyland is not chaos. No matter how busy it is.. I enjoy just BEING there. I could not ride a single ride and be totally happy. It really IS the most "beautiful, peaceful place" to me! It is a place to see friends.. its a place to watch pure JOY on the face of my children! So that is why I chose this song for my blog... Because it IS me... So, Welcome to My Family Time! Turn your sound up and share in something that makes me happy :)
