Disneyland at Christmas

In lieu of a big Christmas this year we decided to take the kids to Disneyland to experience the Christmas magic!! It was beautiful of course and we had a wonderful time! This trip was filled with firsts! Bella was tall enough to ride the Matterhorn and Lilly was tall enough to ride California Screamin (the big roller coaster)! Bella was much more aware of everything this trip and pointed out every mickey shaped thing she saw! She absolutely loved meeting the characters this time! She got SO excited and would shake her hands up and down in anticipation! She wasn't even scared of Jack Skellington! We got to hang out with our friends Nic, Melissa and Melissa's little sister Julie and also Joe, Kayla and Jadyn on Thursday which was a lot of fun! It was simply magical watching the castle/tree lighting and of course the snow on main street! We had a wonderful trip and made many lasting memories!!

Christy comes to Cali!

Last week one of my best friends Christy came to visit Sunny Northern California from Vancouver, BC! She came to meet my family and to check out San Francisco for the first time! We had an absolute blast!

Thursday evening she flew into Sac and the girls and I went to pick her up. We started the weekend off by stopping at In n Out on our way home from the airport... she has now been once and can say she had it! Both of us felt gross afterwards! Friday we spent the morning getting pedicures (Her first EVER!) and shopping at some of the stores she doesn't have in Canada such as Target and Tilly's! Friday afternoon we went to Old Town Sacramento and showed her around ending the day with dinner at "Johnny Garlics" in Roseville owned by food networks Guy Fieri.

Saturday we got up and drove to San Fran. picking Melissa up on the way! We took at ballpark tour of AT&T park which was absolutely fantastic getting to go behind the scenes of my favorite team! Then we drove around the city showing Christy some famous landmarks like Coit Tower, The Full House street, Lombard St. and the Golden Gate bridge!! Sunday Christy and I rode bart into the city and did some more sightseeing including Pier 39, and Boudin Bakery! We ended the day with a movie and her first trip to BJ's Brew house.... Only my favorite restaurant ever!

Monday morning I had to drop her off at Bart at 7am to catch a train to SFO and I drove home. All in all it was a fantastic trip and I hope that Christy got a great taste of how awesome northern ca is and why we choose to live here!! ;)

29th Birthday

I turned 29 on the 2nd of April. Not much to say about that except that I'm now in the countdown to 30. lol To celebrate my birthday, my friend Christy from Vancouver BC, flew down and met Missa and I in LA for a few day's of fun!

Melissa and I drove down late thursday night and arrived in Hollywood to meet up with Christy about 1:30a.m. We got a good nights sleep and spent the next day shopping in Hollywood with a stop in Beverly Hills at Sprinkles Cupcakes! It took us 2.5 hours to get to Anaheim from Hollywood after that! Got to love LA traffic! We had my birthay dinner at Joes Crab Shack where they humiliated me while singing Happy Birthday to me. :)

Sat, and Sunday we spend in Disneyland, My favorite place of course! We tried to do a lot of things that Christy wasn't able to do her first time at disneyland! We had a great time, made wonderful memories and hated saying goodbye come Monday!

My BIGGEST Birthday Present was that my favorite actor Mr. Kellan Lutz himself (Emmett Cullen in Twilight) tweeted me a happy birthday message!! Thanks to my bestie for asking him to!!

All in all it was a great way for me to turn 29 :)

Eclipse Day!

Yep, Its that time of year again! Surprised it's back so quickly!?
ECLIPSE DAY!!!
Yes, The Twilight Saga Eclipse opening "this morning" and in true "Twihard" fashion, I camped out for the midnight premiere! Don't get me wrong, I didn't literally camp... I'm not one of those... yet! lol

This year I drove down to Brentwood to see it with my "wifey" Missa, her bff Ashley, and fiance Nic! Their theatre is SUPER SUPER nice, So I was very excited to see it at "Rave"! Ashli was meeting her mom, sil and a few others at the same theatre so we carpooled!

We had Rubio's for dinner, Goofed off in Line for a while, Met some new friends and they let us into our theatre about 9pm. I was surprised how EXCITED I got as it got closer! You would think this would be an old hat by now right? Nope.
Our Burger King Crowns were a hit again this year and Nic's shirt that he made was also a favorite!! Wish *cough someone I know would get one! ;)

Eclipse was by FAR, Leaps and bounds the best movie so far! I was giddy every time one of my favorite lines from the book was said. Yes there were a few MINOR story adjustments but everything fit PERFECTLY!!! ALL the important essential parts were there and done very well. The chemistry was awesome, The Fighting was GREAT! I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time!
I am so excited to take Chris to see it in IMAX this weekend!

San Francisco Trip!

On April 2nd I turned 20 something..... According to my blog title... haha ok 28. I need to milk the "20 somethings" as long as I can OK! Now leave me alone!! Being that Easter was the 4th it was a bad weekend for us to do much of anything for my birthday so we decided to plan a little get away for the following weekend!

Chris was able to get Friday off and we went to San Francisco for the weekend. This was something I was particularly excited about!! We used to go to SF a LOT when we lived over in Martinez. We would hop on "BART" and 40 minutes later we were in the city for a nice date. Not so easy being at least 2 hours away now. So it's been a good 4 years since Chris and I have been able to do this which has made me sad!

We decided to drive the "long" way in and avoid the Giants opening day traffic and go across the Golden Gate Bridge. Chris had never driven this way so it was a nice little drive! The weather was GORGEOUS!! We visited the Walt Disney Family Museum at the Presidio when we got into town and it was just AWESOME!!! If you ever have a chance to go, you must! I was a little bummed that we weren't allowed to take any pictures but it was def worth the trip over there!! They told us it would take us about 2 hours to go through and I thought to myself "no way" when I heard that but sure enough... about 2 hours later we found ourselves exiting!

After we left the museum we decided to be a little "touristy" and do things that we had never done even though we had lived in the bay area most of our lives! We drove down Lombard Street and after we checked into our hotel and walked around a bit we rode the Powell St Cable Car over to Ghirardelli Square. Yes we had never done either of those things!! lol

Saturday we met up with Nic and Melissa and my childhood friend Derek and his wife Tahnee for lunch at Joes Crab Shack. Derek and I grew up together in Madera and he is now an awesome photographer! He did pics of my girls in July and is going to photograph Nic and Melissa's wedding. They were meeting up in the City that day to shoot some engagement photos! After watching the Bush Man for a while, We had a fun and embarassing lunch (that involved me doing the hula for my bday thank you Melissa) and then headed our seperate ways.

Saturday night we went to the Giants home night opener at AT&T Park! It was the first game the Chris and I have gone to alone in probably over 5 years! I love going to games. I love the atmosphere, smells, sights and sounds. Especially with the views of San Francisco Bay in the background! It was especially awesome because we got to see the ceremony for Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum recieving his CY Young award for the 2nd year in a row! The game was dissapointing as they lost and we had some exceptionally annoying fans around us, but all in all we enjoyed the time together!

Sunday we had a nice drive home and got to enjoy dinner and a movie before we went home to the girls who were really happy to see us! It seemed like Bella's vocabulary expanded over the weekend and she babbled all night telling us all about HER weekend!

Here are some pictures of our trip!

Twicon 2010

Yep it was that time of year again!! Twicon! For those of you that aren't "Twihards" just move on because you are going to hear alot of fan-girling in this post!

Last year Bestie and I had our first experience with Twicon and it was needless to say awesome! Sadly Kristi didn't get to come with me again this year and I was way sad!! But next year we are going to do it up! Wifey, Missa got to come this year and it was her first experience with the world of Twilight outside of our midnight showings haha... boy was she in for a surprise.

We flew into LAX about 10am on Friday morning the 12Th and checked into our hotel where the convention was being held. We quickly realized that we had forgotten some much needed essentials so we set out to try and find some stores nearby. After discovering that wasn't going to happen we discovered that we could catch a trolley shuttle to a mall in Santa Monica that would serve our needs. So after checking out the vendor room... And having our first encounter with "Blow up Rob".. Yes you heard me correctly. We set out for the mall. We got our needs and had lunch at Olive Garden where we got invited to Hermosa Beach by our waiter (yes we still have it girls lol) and then headed back. We made it back to catch the end of Justin Chon and who was hilarious! We then headed back to the room and napped before we had cake for my sister in law Kayla's birthday in the lobby! After that we checked out the Karaoke with Tinsel Korey who was adorable!

Saturday was filled with wolf pack goodness!!! Chaske Spenser (Sam), Kiowa Gordon (Embry), and Alex Meraz (Paul). They were all great!! Chaske was huge, and just sweet like a teddy bear, Kiowa was such a normal kid and brought his band "2 shay" with him... total screamer band that sucked lol. And Paul was a total ladies man/sweetie! He brought his artwork with him which was awesome! We also got to meet Charlie Bewley- Demetri of the Volturi! He was the most unexpected surprise! We hadn't previously purchased a photo op with him but he was SO awesome and charming that I ran out and bought one in the middle of his q&a!! We got our autographs with everyone and then headed to get a bite to eat before we got ready for the Volturi Vampire Ball. We were a little late and I guess we missed everyone except for Chaske and Kiowa. We danced for a bit and hung out and watched two guys that crashed the party take over the dance floor lol.

Sunday- :D The day I had been waiting for! Eek! First up was our picture with Kellan. I couldn't believe the difference in Security from the days before! They had ropes setup at the end of the hall so you couldn't get by unless you had a photop ticket. They had Latices's setup so you couldn't even look in the room if you walked by! Then someone came down the line and said that the actor had requested no hugs. Ha. He was totally cool and down to earth just like he was last year. He was definitely giving hugs so I asked if he would give me a hug as good as he did last year and he answered "Of course!! I've been Practicing!!" and squeezed me! :D He definitely knows how to treat his fans! There were just 2 bodyguards staring me down!! After that we got to get right back in line for our picture with Him AND Peter Facinelli! Yay! Then we got to sit there and listen to them talk for a good hour and 1/2 before we got to go to our lunch with them. Peter and I got to chat for a second about our similarity about having 3 girls which was cool and he was a total awesome guy!

One of the most awesome things about the weekend was learning what a devout Christian Kellan is. Its not something that you hear ANY of the media publishing which is really disappointing to me. He totally talked about how his favorite band last year was Skillet. And he hit on it again in the q&a this year by mentioning how his favorite music to listen to is Christian. And he just finished reading "Boundaries in Dating". He encouraged everyone to read this and stated that its changed his life. When we got him alone at our table he was first asked about his "see through shirt" that he wore and he joked about how he forgets that in certain lights it appears sheer and he wore it to church a few weeks ago and people were saying stuff to his mom :) Then that brought up the subject of the book. He started telling us about reading boundaries in dating and how he has learned about really bringing God into his relationships and honesty and how he wished that he had learned this stuff a long time ago and he would have saved himself a lot of heartache. He talked about how he was missing church cus it was Sunday and all sorts of stuff. He was just really raw and real and it was really awesome! It has also made me realize how much the media tends to twist around things and makes me sad for these actors.

After lunch we got our autographs with Peter and the weekend was over all too soon! All in all it was fun. It very different than last year from the standpoint that last year was much more relaxed and low key. Which I definitely enjoyed. I saw a lot more "crazies" this year. I would seriously be scared for my life if I were these actors. I would NOT want to do what they do! Some people are REALLY hard core... My friends at home make fun of me for how "obsessed" I am and they really have NOOOOO CLUE!! lol I mean blow up Rob? That had a seat and you changed his clothes everyday? That was just out there in my opinion.... lol I can't even imagine how Robert Pattinson would react if he saw that... I am 100% sure he would run for his life. Lol on that note.... Enjoy our pictures!!!!

Whoa... Spring!? Already!?

Geeeeez!!! Is it Spring already!?!? Where is 2010 going? Cydney tracked off in March for the last time of year round school. Her school will be switching to traditional for the 2010/2011 school year so that will be an interesting transition as Lilly starts kindergarten. We have been super busy as usual! Here are some recent pics of the kids riding their bikes

We took advantage of Cydney being off track and headed down to So.CA to get one more use out of our annual passes at Disneyland before they expire on 4/1. Bella didn't get to make this journey with us as she is at a very "trying" age lol! Missa and Nic tagged along for a few days and little did she know but Nic (with a little help from the Crain clan) was able to pop the big question literally while riding Tower of Terror!! We are all SOO excited for them and can't wait for their big day probably in the fall of 2010! We also hit up Universal Studio's as something different and the girls really enjoyed that! Kristi and Gabriella were also able to meet up with us for a couple days as they are staying in Anaheim for a few days while their transport jet is down in case they get "the call". That was great to catch up even though it wasn't nearly enough time!! The girls (big and small!) had a great time catching up!!

Garage Sales are so much Fun!

Saturday and Monday I had my first garage sale! I've been in need of some extra $ to get the rest of the stuff I needed together for Baby Girl's room and SO much junk laying around that I decided to try and sell some of it! Wifey came up Friday night and helped me get the rest of everything ready that I needed to! I spent the whole week organizing and going through stuff. Probably getting a little TOO organized lol. We setup bright and early Saturday morning and had a pretty good turnout! We sold Sweet Pea's old bed which was my main goal and lots of little stuff. I couldn't believe how many people almost killed themselves on my road... backing up and parking on the "highway" we live on! We made over $400 and today I was able to go get the dresser and paint for baby girls room! Yay!! (and a much needed pedicure! haha)

Lots of Junk!!

Say Cheese Missa!
