I've had the awesome opportunity through my friend to become a blogger for Twilightish.com ! Although I'm not crazy obsessed with Twilight anymore, this opportunity came along and I couldn't pass it up! I thought this would be a fun thing to do in my spare time and through it I've met some really awesome people! Hunger Games Teaser Trailer

As I've posted before I'm very excited about "The Hunger Games" movie that comes out March 23, 2012 as the book series is on of my favorites!! I think I might be more excited for this movie than Breaking Dawn in November.... maybe! Here is the first teaser trailer of the movie that was released Sunday night!!

After hearing some feedback on the trailer I would like to add a couple key things that I think Lionsgate is trying to show us in this teaser. There has been a lot of "talk" that Jennifer Lawrence doesn't look "young enough" to play Katniss... I think she looks fantastic in this. WAY younger than I thought they could make her look. Also, I think they wanted us to see that she can shoot a bow and arrow!! I read that Jennifer Lawrence took weeks of archery lessons to get it down right... I think she did! Another great tease: Listen to the music at the end of the teaser when the credits are playing and you will hear what is believed to be Rue's 4-note whistle that is such a huge part of the book!! 

Cydney turns 8!

I am a couple weeks late with posting this but on August 18th Cydney turned 8!

Cydney has been such a blessing to us. Chris and I keep commenting about how much she has "grown up" over the past month or so. She is like a mini teenager! Her birthday list included Clothes, A diary (to keep her secrets in), a journal to write her songs, and a real guitar to learn how to play on! I don't know what "secrets" an 8 year old has to keep, but thankfully she is awesome about talking to mom :) . Its so exciting to see her turning into such a sweet spirited young lady. She always puts others before herself and is such a good big sister! It feels like just yesterday we were holding our teeny baby girl. I'm trying to cherish every moment we have with her as they truly do grow up quick.

We had a birthday dinner with Grandpa and Grandma ON her birthday at BJ's. She got her "real guitar" from Grandpa and Jonas Brothers (EEK!) tickets from Mommy and Ashli! (I'm honestly very excited about this lol) She gets to bring a friend and she chose her cousin, Jordan! We go next Friday!

For her birthday party this year she decided that she wanted to have her first sleepover and with a Twilight theme at that!! Needless to say Mom was very excited about the theme! lol I had a lot of fun decorating with all my Twilight swag, and it was such a fun party! I made "Eclipse" cupcakes, they played Pin the Heart on Bella and Twilight Bingo, ending the night with watching Twilight and New Moon. The last one passed out about 12:45am. It was fun, but 8 screaming girls was LOUD!

Yep, Its that time of year again! Surprised it's back so quickly!?

ECLIPSE DAY!!!

Yes, The Twilight Saga Eclipse opening "this morning" and in true "Twihard" fashion, I camped out for the midnight premiere! Don't get me wrong, I didn't literally camp... I'm not one of those... yet! lol

This year I drove down to Brentwood to see it with my "wifey" Missa, her bff Ashley, and fiance Nic! Their theatre is SUPER SUPER nice, So I was very excited to see it at "Rave"! Ashli was meeting her mom, sil and a few others at the same theatre so we carpooled!

We had Rubio's for dinner, Goofed off in Line for a while, Met some new friends and they let us into our theatre about 9pm. I was surprised how EXCITED I got as it got closer! You would think this would be an old hat by now right? Nope.

Our Burger King Crowns were a hit again this year and Nic's shirt that he made was also a favorite!! Wish *cough someone I know would get one! ;)

Eclipse was by FAR, Leaps and bounds the best movie so far! I was giddy every time one of my favorite lines from the book was said. Yes there were a few MINOR story adjustments but everything fit PERFECTLY!!! ALL the important essential parts were there and done very well. The chemistry was awesome, The Fighting was GREAT! I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time!

I am so excited to take Chris to see it in IMAX this weekend!

Jimmy Kimmel- Total Eclipse of the Heart

While on our LA Trip, Kayla and I also had the opportunity to attend a special taping of The Jimmy Kimmel show! A few weeks ago Jimmy announced that he would be doing a prime time special with the cast of Eclipse. They had something like 20,000 requests for the show. He then decided to open up his outside stage for a Q and A with the cast "after" the show. I got an email saying that 750 tickets would be available. Kayla and I tried for 2 hours Friday night to get tickets. Apparently us Twifans crashed their server! They got 15,000 requests in the first 5 minutes! They decided to re-offer tickets the next morning. Well we were driving so a friend of ours tried for me.. and we got them!!

Monday morning we showed up to the Studio about 11am. We were going to check out the situation and maybe do some shopping or whatever. Well people were already lining up so we decided to go ahead and get in line. We got about 14 back from the front of the line but we quickly figured out this was going to be a LONG day! It was HOT and we were in direct sunlight. We took turns going to look for an umbrella and Kayla found one at CVS! After that purchase things got more comfortable! We had a few friends that we hung out with throughout the day and some that came to "visit" us in line lol. About 3:30 pm Cameron Matheson from Good Morning America (also Ryan from All my Children) showed up to interview us "crazy" fans! He was super nice and stopped to take pictures with all of us! He said it would air on June 23.

As it started getting closer to 5pm they started putting up blockades in front of us to form a solid line. We quickly figured out this was not the only reason... Black SUV's and Towncars started showing up for their back parking lot with cast members, They were trying to help keep us in line and from attacking the cars! Pathetic! We weren't seeing much of the action because we were in the front of the line, but could hear the screams. We quietly watched as a Black SUV pulled into the parking lot in front of us and out came Kristen Stewart! We didn't feel the need to "fangirl" scream and draw attention to her. She went in completely un noticed. About 10 minutes later Rob arrived in the same fashion.. 5 minutes later came Taylor!

Shortly after they let us into the area for the stage. We were super fortunate to get a spot in the first row against the fence... Right in front of where Rob would sit! We had scoped out the stage earlier when they were doing sound check. They had random people sitting in the chairs with signs around their neck- who they were representing. We knew that we were going to be able to watch the taping of the show on the big screen and then after the show we would get a chance for Q and A with the cast.

It was really cool watching the show! Across the street at Graumann's there was a screening of Eclipse going on and Jimmy stopped the movie and was put onto the big screen for the big 3 to say Hello to them! Then Peter Facinelli, Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel and Dakota Fanning came actually walking IN to their theatre! Shortly after we saw the 4 walking into the back of the studio. We started to notice more security showing up at our stage and "stuff" happening so a friend asked how long it would be before the show was over and they would be coming out... He answered that they were on their way out NOW!

They surprised us with the fact that they would be taping the 2nd half of the show with US!! We were super excited! There was a camera man in front of us giving us instructions about him filming us. We were expecting the cast to walk up right in front of us and then all of a sudden the crowd went wild! I looked up to see Rob and Kristen already RIGHT in front of me!! Ahh! So surreal! Even though we had gotten to "see" them on Saturday at the convention, this was completely different!

They were BEAUTIFUL! Pictures do NOT do them justice by any means! Rob was not as skinny as he appears in  pictures and seemed alot more "built" than I assumed he would be. He is just a gorgeous human being! Kristen was absolutely gorgeous! Her skin is SO pretty and she is just adorable! The interaction between the two the entire show was SO cute! Oh ya I guess there were other cast members there too huh? Taylor was handsome, but didn't look different than I pictured him. Very Short lol Xavier Samuel was behind Rob, Very Handsome as well. Dakota was adorable, Very Poised. Peter, Bryce, Ashley, Nikki and Elizabeth were all there as well. They proceeded to start filming again with questions from the audience. It was so surreal! Unlike other tapings I'd been to, we were allowed to keep our cell phones and take pictures! I was live tweeting until Twitter crashed and gained over 100 followers in about 20 minutes! lol It was crazy! We made eye contact and got a Hello from Xavier, Rob, Kristen and Taylor! They were all SO nice. Taylor esp must have smiled at me at least 4 times. We saw Rob whisper to Kristen as they sat down "Its okay" . :) Too sweet! It all came and went too fast, Totally surreal! Before we knew it we were saying goodbye and they were gone!

When we got to our car in the parking lot next door we noticed commotion by the back door of the studio and realized Kristen and Ashley were out there signing autographs! We weren't able to get one from them but got to check them out up close lol. We did however wait a few more minutes and I was able to get our bookmarks signed by Taylor!

It was the most awesome way to end our Trip!! I think I have decided that Conventions are over-rated and something like this was SO much more fun! I will definitely be on the lookout for more opportunities like this!

Eclipse Convention

I had the opportunity to attend the Eclipse Convention in Beverly hills on Saturday with my sister in law Kayla! It was awesome!! There were so many stars in attendance that it was almost overwhelming! The Cast Members we saw on Saturday are as Follows:

Obviously the reason WHY we came was to see Rob, Kristen and Taylor. The overall MASSIVENESS (is that a word!?) of this convention was so much bigger than the previous 2 I've attended. Bigger more Interesting Venue which I personally loved how the seating was and how the whole layout was setup! But only if you were able to have an assigned seat. I would have been disappointed in the general admission section! The panels were fun and it was great to see new people such as Jackson, Nikki, Liz, and Ashley. I was surprised by who I liked in person. Nikki was ADORABLE! Awesome personality and chatty... Ashley however was NOT. I didn't hear a single GOOD word said about her appearance by anyone the entire weekend. Which is really quite sad because I was SO looking forward to seeing her considering the past two conventions I went to she cancelled.

Throughout the day the convention room had been scattered with people. But when I came back in at 7 for the trio... The room was overspilling and the buzz inside was crazy!! They were about 20 minutes late and that room erupted with screams as they entered! They asked us to please refrain from our applause etc to get as many questions in as possible.. but these twi-hards could not resist. Sadly A LOT of time was wasted while they waited for the crowd to quiet after the "I Love You Rob!"s and "I love you Taylor!"s. I was able to get some pretty good pictures from where we were sitting for not having a "paparazzi" camera lol! Also a couple good videos!!

One of the best part of the weekend was meeting new friends! Met some really great people this weekend and I look forward to getting to know them better! Thanks for the great weekend guys!!

Eclipse Convention

Gabriella Gets some Celebrity Love!!

As most of you know, I have been an avid "Twilight" fan for a few years now! Kristi and I both share this passion, although it has extended out of just the "Twilight" realm and has followed alot of the actors beyond just their "Twilight" roles. Our favorite male celebrity in particular being Kellan Lutz, aka Emmett. Kristi and I had the opportunity to meet him last year in May when we attended "TwiTour" and it was an awesome experience. He was really an awesome guy! We left with alot of respect for him and our "love" for him just grew!

Now not only do WE have a passion for these movies but so do our little girls... These girls KNOW what Twilight is... They know who Rob, Kristen, Edward, Bella and especially EMMETT are!!

With the onset of Gabriella's condition this year, Kristi was not able to attend TwiTour with me this year. I knew that this was a huge disappointment for Kristi. When I knew this was going to be the case I set out on a mission. I was determined to get SOME sort of attention from Kellan for her, I knew that it wouldn't make up for all of the "crap" that had been going on for lack of a better word, but I knew that if it could bring just a little glimmer of sunshine to her day, that I HAD to try!! I was all prepared to have her picture from last year autographed by him and to try and give him one of my extra "Gabriella Bracelets". He is always big on wearing bracelets, so I figured why not try! Well then I was crushed with the news that due to "scheduling" he would not be giving autographs. DANG it! 

Well I went anyways, Still hoping for something. All to forget the picture and the bracelet in the rush of travelling. I was SO BUMMED. Esp because I ended up going to the brunch with him and could have taken the picture to be signed. I even tried to have the picture faxed to the fed ex center at the hotel. But it was Sunday, so it was closed! I talked to volunteers for Creation and just kept striking out! I was so frustrated. I thought, Well I will talk to him when he sits at our table and explain! Maybe he can do SOMETHING for me! NOPE! I wasn't able to get a single WORD in to him, the other women talked so much! Sigh. 

So I went home defeated.... Then he got a twitter. :) (evil grin) I didn't want to be one of those annoying fan girls... but this was for a good cause. Someone needs to bring some cheer to this little girl and to my dearest friend! And someone needs to help spread the words about CHD!!! So my master plan began to tweet him every time he tweeted. I figured he would get the hint eventually! I was starting to lose hope. I mean the guy does have almost 121,000 followers. 

THEN... This afternoon. My phone went off w a mobile alert of a tweet he sent. I hadn't bugged him in a while so I thought what the heck....

AAAAHHHHH!!! Now that may not seem like alot to some people... But to ME and esp to KRISTI.... I know that made her YEAR!!! And it was worth every single second I spent practically stalking this guy! Lol!!! He really is an amazing celebrity to his fans. I don't know that he would ever read this but the joy that I saw in the picture Kristi sent me today of Gabriella was priceless and the reaction that I got from Kristi when she saw that tweet from him was AWESOME!! I can't thank him enough for that! Its the little things... its the things that take our minds off of reality and just let us have a little bit of FUN for a second that make life worth living!! That make us want to FIGHT!! That encourage us! So thank you Mr. Kellan Lutz for that encouragement!! God Bless You!

Twicon 2010

Yep it was that time of year again!! Twicon! For those of you that aren't "Twihards" just move on because you are going to hear alot of fan-girling in this post!

Last year Bestie and I had our first experience with Twicon and it was needless to say awesome! Sadly Kristi didn't get to come with me again this year and I was way sad!! But next year we are going to do it up! Wifey, Missa got to come this year and it was her first experience with the world of Twilight outside of our midnight showings haha... boy was she in for a surprise.

We flew into LAX about 10am on Friday morning the 12Th and checked into our hotel where the convention was being held. We quickly realized that we had forgotten some much needed essentials so we set out to try and find some stores nearby. After discovering that wasn't going to happen we discovered that we could catch a trolley shuttle to a mall in Santa Monica that would serve our needs. So after checking out the vendor room... And having our first encounter with "Blow up Rob".. Yes you heard me correctly. We set out for the mall. We got our needs and had lunch at Olive Garden where we got invited to Hermosa Beach by our waiter (yes we still have it girls lol) and then headed back. We made it back to catch the end of Justin Chon and who was hilarious! We then headed back to the room and napped before we had cake for my sister in law Kayla's birthday in the lobby! After that we checked out the Karaoke with Tinsel Korey who was adorable!

Saturday was filled with wolf pack goodness!!! Chaske Spenser (Sam), Kiowa Gordon (Embry), and Alex Meraz (Paul). They were all great!! Chaske was huge, and just sweet like a teddy bear, Kiowa was such a normal kid and brought his band "2 shay" with him... total screamer band that sucked lol. And Paul was a total ladies man/sweetie! He brought his artwork with him which was awesome! We also got to meet Charlie Bewley- Demetri of the Volturi! He was the most unexpected surprise! We hadn't previously purchased a photo op with him but he was SO awesome and charming that I ran out and bought one in the middle of his q&a!! We got our autographs with everyone and then headed to get a bite to eat before we got ready for the Volturi Vampire Ball. We were a little late and I guess we missed everyone except for Chaske and Kiowa. We danced for a bit and hung out and watched two guys that crashed the party take over the dance floor lol.

Sunday- :D The day I had been waiting for! Eek! First up was our picture with Kellan. I couldn't believe the difference in Security from the days before! They had ropes setup at the end of the hall so you couldn't get by unless you had a photop ticket. They had Latices's setup so you couldn't even look in the room if you walked by! Then someone came down the line and said that the actor had requested no hugs. Ha. He was totally cool and down to earth just like he was last year. He was definitely giving hugs so I asked if he would give me a hug as good as he did last year and he answered "Of course!! I've been Practicing!!" and squeezed me! :D He definitely knows how to treat his fans! There were just 2 bodyguards staring me down!! After that we got to get right back in line for our picture with Him AND Peter Facinelli! Yay! Then we got to sit there and listen to them talk for a good hour and 1/2 before we got to go to our lunch with them. Peter and I got to chat for a second about our similarity about having 3 girls which was cool and he was a total awesome guy!

One of the most awesome things about the weekend was learning what a devout Christian Kellan is. Its not something that you hear ANY of the media publishing which is really disappointing to me. He totally talked about how his favorite band last year was Skillet. And he hit on it again in the q&a this year by mentioning how his favorite music to listen to is Christian. And he just finished reading "Boundaries in Dating". He encouraged everyone to read this and stated that its changed his life. When we got him alone at our table he was first asked about his "see through shirt" that he wore and he joked about how he forgets that in certain lights it appears sheer and he wore it to church a few weeks ago and people were saying stuff to his mom :) Then that brought up the subject of the book. He started telling us about reading boundaries in dating and how he has learned about really bringing God into his relationships and honesty and how he wished that he had learned this stuff a long time ago and he would have saved himself a lot of heartache. He talked about how he was missing church cus it was Sunday and all sorts of stuff. He was just really raw and real and it was really awesome! It has also made me realize how much the media tends to twist around things and makes me sad for these actors.

After lunch we got our autographs with Peter and the weekend was over all too soon! All in all it was fun. It very different than last year from the standpoint that last year was much more relaxed and low key. Which I definitely enjoyed. I saw a lot more "crazies" this year. I would seriously be scared for my life if I were these actors. I would NOT want to do what they do! Some people are REALLY hard core... My friends at home make fun of me for how "obsessed" I am and they really have NOOOOO CLUE!! lol I mean blow up Rob? That had a seat and you changed his clothes everyday? That was just out there in my opinion.... lol I can't even imagine how Robert Pattinson would react if he saw that... I am 100% sure he would run for his life. Lol on that note.... 100 Monkeys Concert!

Last week Ashli and I attempted to go to see Jackson Rathbone's (Jasper in the Twilight Saga for those of you hiding under a rock!) band, "100 Monkey's" at Harlows in Downtown Sac. We were very disappointed when they had to cancel after getting stuck in the snow!! :(

So Sunday night, My friend Jen and I decided to attempt again and go see them in Stockton at the "Plea for Peace" center. We didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into, lol! We pulled into a almost empty parking lot of a warehouse with a spray painted sign about an hour and a half before the concert was supposed to start. We bought our tickets and waited in the car until about 10 minutes before the doors opened. We got to watch the band "smoke" outside the venue... and even had Ben G. one of the members come over and chit chat us.... okay so he was really asking us not to take any pictures of them smoking because they have an "image" to uphold for their young fans..... um how about we try NOT smoking!?

The place was TINY and smelled um... lovely but all of that was okay because it was awesome and basically like we were hanging out in a friends garage listening to their band! There were 2 awesome local groups that opened for them. Suddenly Seymour and Skouts Honor. Hope to see both of them again soon!!

Needless to say the band was awesome. I was amazed at how they just rotated instruments around. Jackson played: keyboard, bass, trumpet, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, drums and sang vocals! VERY awesome! Key notes: Jackson wore his glasses the entire concert... hiding a black eye!?. He also had a plastic Jesus on his belt haha. He has a "thing" for sticking his tongue out. He has the BEST teeth and smile! They were ALL very talented musicians! I can't wait to see them again!! Pretty sure this just made my whole obsession worse :P I love my Kellan... but wow... Jackson was pretty awesome too!! Hope you enjoy the pictures and video!!!

Cyd Partying it up!

Cydney got invited to her first slumber party last month for her friend Hannah! She just looked so old and like a teenager! Didn't help that she had her Twilight pillow and Jonas Brothers Sleeping bag in tow... lol I guess she had a blast and they stayed up until like 1am having a fashion show or something! lol Here are some pictures that Hannah's mom, my friend Sara sent me! Thought you would enjoy watching what a Party hog Cyd is as much as I did!!

Two More Days.....

I'm so so so excited!! Two more days until Twilight comes out!! I'm very excited that I'm going to be able to go see it. Even though I know I'll be uncomfortable.. It will be worth it! My last girls outing too! I'm going with 9 of my other girlfriends to the 12:01 showing! (and def sleeping all day Friday!)

I know some people think I'm crazy... They hear "Vampire" and immediately shy away from this whole series and phenomenon. Well let me tell you.. If I had known what Twilight the book was about BEFORE I read it.. I probably would have said the same thing. But the whole story is really an awesome love story and not ANYTHING like what you would expect! I keep trying to explain to Hubby that these are not "typical" vampires.. w/ vampire myths... and I keep getting reminded that they're not real.. haha. But that's okay.. I look at these books as something that kept me sane during this extremely difficult pregnancy and something that was really enjoyable to me!! SO If you haven't read them.. I would highly recommend it.. And keep an open mind! Because after all.. You can't judge a book by its cover!

Yes.. More Twilight Stuff!

I woke up to an email from Fandango this morning saying that midnight showtimes have been released for my area!! I know I'm probably jinxing myself but I went ahead and bought my ticket! I'm really hoping this will be my first POST baby outing! I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for this!! November is going to be a GOOD month!!

What the cool kids did August 1rst

On August 2nd.. The 4th book in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn came out. So in true book nerd fashion some friends and I decided to go to the midnight release at Barnes n Noble!

Hubby made us an awesome design that I ironed onto black t-shirts for the girls! All 8 of us met up at my house around 7:30 with our matching shirts and headed to Jack's Urban Eats for dinner. We immediately got comments on our shirts! lol The party didn't start until 10pm. So we killed some time at Nordstrom Rack and Starbucks.

The party was called "Midnight Prom"... needless to say we saw some INTERESTING people!! We had a blast hanging out, pestering a manager named Steve for buttons, stickers, and bracelets. Court and I painted our nails black in true "vampire" style. lol Around 11 we all got in line and laid around an aisle waiting for our turn to buy the book. We had alot of fun reading random books and just hanging out. At 12:01 the book went on sale. Court was the first to make her purchase! We were only about 5 people from the front so that was great! Everyone cheered and it was so much fun! We lined up outside for a picture with our books and then went home. People took turns reading the first chapter out loud in the car on the way home.

I only stayed up till about 2:15 am reading. Haha. I DID finish the book by Sunday night though. So bittersweet! I dont want it to end! I'm in the process of re-reading now! If you haven't read these books... They're highly addicting! Check them out! It was SO great to have a girls night! I had so much fun hanging out and being silly with my girlfriend! Love you guys!
